Our support

Our mission is to empower young women by providing the necessary support to help them unlock their full potential, regardless of their families' financial circumstances. We aim to enable them to pursue an independent and self-determined path in life.

Most of our scholarship recipients come from families living below the poverty line. For them, access to higher education is often a distant dream – not only due to the lack of funds for tuition or study fees but also because of the absence of resources for housing, study materials, and daily necessities.

What we cover for the recipients

Expenses for application

The application process costs around €40 per person and college. This amount covers registration and interview fees, travel expenses, and the personalised support provided by our local partner organisation.

Books and materials

Right at the beginning of their training, the students are given an extensive list of required materials: textbooks, scripts, and even gardening tools for practical work in the school garden. In addition, essential medical items such as a stethoscope, bandages, and disinfectants are needed. Altogether, the costs in the very first weeks already amount to several hundred euros.

Tuition fees

Tuition fees vary depending on the institution and stage of training. On average, they amount to around €300 per semester.

Living expenses

In their first year of training, the students are usually accommodated in the school dormitory. From the second year onwards, however, many of them have to find their own accommodation, depending on the institution. To help them manage everyday life financially, we support our scholarship holders with a monthly allowance of between €10 and €25. This contribution helps cover essential expenses such as food and personal items, including hygiene products and ensures they can focus on their education.

Other expenses of the foundation

As a volunteer-run organisation, we keep our administrative costs as low as possible. There are no personnel expenses, as all team members work on a voluntary basis. Nevertheless, certain costs are unavoidable, including website hosting, banking fees, international transfer charges, marketing activities and tax advisory services.

Our local partner organisation, which supports us with indispensable commitment in selecting applicants and accompanying them throughout the application process, receives a modest compensation per candidate and scholarship holder.
